SHEIN is proud to announce that in January 2025, the company successfully attained ISO 27001:2022 certification for SHEIN Europe Technology Centre (SETC), including its European e-commerce platforms and offices in Dublin, Ireland, which houses the company’s EMEA headquarters and strategic IT hub.
ISO 27001 is the most widely recognized international standard for information security and provides independent validation of the company’s security program and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). To attain ISO 27001, companies must have put in place a system to manage risks related to the security of information that they handle or manage, and it must be independently assessed to align with the principles enshrined in the standard. An ISMS implemented according to ISO 27001 enables effective security risk management, cyber-resilience and operational excellence.
Leon Li, SHEIN’s Chief Security Officer, points out: “Attaining this certification is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safeguarding company and customer information, ensuring information integrity and compliance. SHEIN will continue in our information security efforts, delivering on the trust that our customers and business partners have placed in us.” This ISO 27001:2022 certification is the latest that SHEIN has attained, building on other general and sector-specific cyber and data security certificates, such as PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and Google MASA (Mobile Application Security Assessment).
